Thoughts on Non-Christian Copywriting

Christ Jesus is the First Word and the Living Word,
and He has the last say.
I choose to write my life story in Him.

The godly way to be skilled is to be filled with the Spirit.

See, I have called by name (put your name here). And I have filled (him/her) with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship…(Exo 31:2-3)

I sit in the counsel of the godly. (Psa 1:1) I don’t immerse myself in darkness, and then use their wisdom to craft my own. I trust the Lord God that He is the Source.

If there is no godly person to emulate, then let me be the first one that Christ Jesus will raise up for others to copy and exemplify. Be a role model in God's eyes, His standard, and His par of excellence.

Know then that God is always the First One. Remember, Christ Jesus is the Living Word. And because this matter of interest on copywriting is about words, then I put my trust and devotion to Him who is,

"In the Beginning was the Word…" (see John 1:1)

The Lord God is the Subject Matter Expert on Copywriting. I copy Him.

There was a "successful" speaker who used casual s*x as an illustration. He said it without remorse and hesitation. There are also others who would use s*xuality-themed topics in every period of minutes just to spark interest and engagement among a crowd. And they said it in a form of psychoanalytic study. (Much like this writeup could strike an SEO trigger on the word s*x.)

In this fallen world, s*x truly sells, big time. But I'm not part of this fallen world. Though I live in it, I don’t live like it. There's a difference. I've been made different. I've been redeemed by the precious Blood of my Lord Jesus Christ. He suffered and died so I can live a prosperous life. My prosperity and success come with a price: His own life. The least I can do is to offer my life and body as a living sacrifice.(Romans 12:1-2)  My choices and preferences are now narrow. I have already decided to follow Jesus on that narrow path.(Mat 7:14)

And there is nothing casual about s*x. I don’t condone and tolerate those who practice it. I flee from the evil desires of this world.(2 Tim 2:22)  I run away from it and run towards Jesus, the Perfecter of my faith.

Eventually, you become who and what you listen to. We are spirit beings with a soul and a body. There is always a spiritual transference, always. That's why the Bible cautions, "Know those who labor among you." (1 Thes 5:12)

It's true that we eat the meat and throw the bones. But in my opinion, the experience was more like the whole meal was cooked in narcotics. It will alter the mood, view, and state of mind (and heart!) of the Christian 'normal', in one way or another. You can expect it.

If not corrected and confronted, it will come out sooner or later in different shapes and colors. [Heb 6:8]

If not surrendered to the holiness of the Savior, it will corrupt and destroy the listener.

We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ. [2 Cor 10:5 ESV]

The Lord God wants me to prosper; He delights in my prosperity.[Psa 35:27] But it has to be His way, His methodology.

P.S. [My Biblical mandate]

"…but you will be responsible for his blood. However, if you have warned the righteous man not to sin and he does not sin, he will surely live because he took warning; also you have freed yourself [from responsibility].Ezekiel 3:20-21 AMP

The Curse of the Thief

I n the middle of audit week, our company accountants decided not to show up. As it turned out, they embezzled some money. What struck me the most was that the people who did it were not strangers; they were like mothers and aunts. We saw them almost every day, smile at them, laugh with them, and made plans together. As part of the management team, we ate out and had a friendly good time. It was heartbreaking to realize that the people in the news for some criminal activity had the same profile as those that I had warm and cuddly relations with. But loyalty goes up. My love for God supersedes any other relationship. I feel sad, yes, but I have no inkling to cover for them. If anything, I am upset because I was this close to them, and yet, clueless. My colleagues and I were mixed emotions. On one hand, we felt betrayed. The suspects were like family. We confided in them and planned activities with them in all sincerity and warmth. But maybe, just maybe, they were truthful and sincere...

Bishopric and Episkopé: The Ministry of Visitation

The KJV word is bishoprick , which is now archaic in spelling. Most Bible translators didn’t use the modern spelling ‘ bishopric,’ and that, for a good reason.   #Acts1v20 For it is written in the book of Psalms: “Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell in it.”, and, “His bishopric, let another take.”   A quick google search shows that bishopric means: the office or rank of a bishop. ·      a district under a bishop's control; a diocese.   But looking closely at the Greek word, episkopé, reveals a deeper meaning: a visiting, an overseeing [Strong's].   Here's the kicker: bishopric k is not a desk job; it's fieldwork.   An excellent, Spirit-filled bishop or pastor performs the act of visitation. How does one effectively "oversee" a flock? By being with them, by being among them. When God calls one to be a pastor of a people, the expectation is not like that of a manager who stays in the offic...

Our FATHER Can Easily Bless Us With A Baby

Then the LORD said, “I will surely return to you at this time next year, and your wife Sarah will have a son!” So she laughed to herself, saying, “After I am worn out and my master is old, will I now have this pleasure?” And the LORD asked Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Can I really bear a child when I am old?’ Is anything too difficult for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you—in about a year—and Sarah will have a son.”   [ Genesis 18:10, 12-14 BSB]   Nothing Is Too Hard For The Lord   This is the first time that God declared the statement “Nothing is too hard for the Lord,” and it involved having a baby. The Lord repeated Himself in this same way to Mary concerning Elizabeth’s pregnancy, and it was also about having a baby. (see Luke 1:36-38) It’s amazing to know that God measured His ability in this way – in the manner of granting babies. The Lord does not treat it lightly when we laugh at what He is able to do. For God ...

Death and Destruction

are never satisfied, and neither are human eyes.  (Proverbs 27:20 NIV ) People will never stop dying and being destroyed, and they will never stop wanting more than they have. (NCV) Share your burbles here. Image courtesy of Victor Habbick at FreeDigitalPhotos.net

Our FATHER Confirms His Baby Promise

But Abram replied, “O Lord GOD, what can You give me, since I remain childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?” Abram continued, “Behold, You have given me no offspring, so a servant in my household will be my heir.”   Then the word of the LORD came to Abram, saying, “This one will not be your heir, but one who comes from your own body will be your heir.” [ Genesis 15:2-4 BSB]   Right here and now, we remind ourselves again that having a baby is all dependent on God's grace and mercy. We cannot make any of this happen on our own. In this stage of Abram's life, he has no child, and no parental obligation. His nephew, Lot, had just parted ways from him. It could have been Lot as an heir apparent. But with Lot gone, Abram was then left with a non-relative, who was next in line to be an heir prospect.   Abram was willing to adopt Eliezer (or his son) and treat him as his own. Adoption, in itself, is good and godly. The whole Bible is ...

John 2

the king version And on the third day, there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there; 2  and both Jesus and his disciples were called to the marriage. 3  And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus says * to Him, “They have no wine.” 4  Jesus says * to her, “Woman, what have I to do with you? My 1 hour has 2 not yet come.” 5  His mother says * to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” 6  And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three measures 3  apiece. 7  Jesus says * to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. 8  And He says * to them, “Draw some out now, and carry 4   it to the governor of the feast.” And they carried 5 it. 9  When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made into wine, and knew not from where 6 it was (but the servants who drew the...

Being On God’s Side: The Nonpartisan Obedience And Submission of The Elect

My choice of candidate is only as good as when I vote. My vote is only as good as when it is counted. But when the tally comes, my choice is irrelevant – God  decides  who is king.   Every person is to be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. (Romans 13: 1 NASB)   Our future does not depend on the person who gets elected, but on the One who sits on the Throne. If God has already decided, then why do I need to vote? This sounds like the clay who talks back to the Potter, “Why did you make me this way?” [see Romans 9:19-20] Let’s admit it: Though we vote according to our conscience, our conscience is formed by information made available to us. We can only know so much about a candidate, but God knows all things. In choosing, our sense of compatibility and personal preference are at work. We like a certain candidate because we feel that we like something about them, or w...

The Ministry

Is Received, Not Assumed. Hebrews 8:6 But the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, and it is founded on better promises. Even our Lord Jesus received it from the Father. The Ministry is given, not taken. I will wait for my turn.
