In His gentle and loving graciousness, the Lord wakes me up to do His will. He rouses my senses to have my full attention.
It is not my ability to hear, but God’s ability to speak – that when He speaks, I am bound to hear, and I choose to listen.
In all consciousness, He makes me fully aware that He is strengthening me so as to strengthen others.
He inspires me to inspire others.
Then, they receive strength from God Himself – just between God and them.
But it all begins with God; He wakes me up. Then I make a conscious decision to be willing to listen and obey.
Morning after morning, every day, He stirs me up to a waking moment.
God starts it, and then He enables me to continue it.
And I end the day, I rest and fall asleep. But my God who never sleeps waits for me. Then He wakes me up again to another day to fulfill the Lord’s desires.
He makes it easy for me to know and implement His will.
What a sweet deal!

Isaiah 50:4-5
The Master, GOD, has given me
a well-taught tongue,
So I know how to encourage tired people.
He wakes me up in the morning,
Wakes me up, opens my ears
to listen as one ready to take orders.
The Master, GOD, opened my ears,
and I didn’t go back to sleep,
didn’t pull the covers back over my head.
(Message)
The Lord, the Eternal, equipped me for this job—
with skilled speech, a smooth tongue for instruction.
I can find the words that comfort and soothe the downtrodden, tired, and despairing.
And I know when to use them.
Each morning, it is God who wakes me and tells me what I should do,
what I should say.
The Lord, the Eternal, has helped me to listen,
and I do as He says. I have not been rebellious or run away from God’s work.
