#Isa49.1-3
God says:
“You are My servant, {insert name here}. Through you, I will be glorified."
Let it be known that God is at work in my life. The Lord didn't take notice of me just recently. He already knew even before I was born.
He thought of me, and conceived of me in eternity past. He gave me a name, and He caused me to come into being in my mother's womb.
He then called me for a purpose. Since then, He was preparing me to deliver His message that can not be silenced nor ignored.
But until then, He will keep me hidden. He will keep on polishing me and making me ready until the appointed time.
And without a shadow of a doubt, without a hint of denial, He will confirm my destiny by telling me upfront.
I am God's servant. Through me, God will be glorified. Through me, God will shine. The Creator's beauty will be on display, through His grace upon my life.
"May it be unto me, just as You have said."
So be it!
(Isaiah 49:1-3)
Listen to this, everyone—near and far:
The Eternal One singled me out, even before I was born.
He called me and named me when I was still in my mother’s belly.
Even then, God was preparing my mouth to speak like a sharp sword.
He kept my purpose quiet, kept me safe in the shadow of His hand,
He crafted me into a sharp-tipped arrow and tucked me away in His quiver;
God said to me, “You are My servant, Israel.
Through you, I will be glorified.” (Voice)
Listen, far-flung islands,
pay attention, faraway people:
GOD put me to work from the day I was born.
The moment I entered the world he named me.
He gave me speech that would cut and penetrate.
He kept his hand on me to protect me.
He made me his straight arrow
and hid me in his quiver.
He said to me, “You’re my dear servant,
Israel, through whom I’ll shine.” (Message)
