Our FATHER Designed Us To Procreate

And God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the flying creatures of the sky, and over all the tame animals, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over all the creatures that crawl on the earth. ^{[Genesis 1:28 NHEB]}

God blessed them and told them, “Reproduce, increase, and spread throughout the earth and control it; exercise authority over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and every creature that moves on the earth.” ^{[Genesis 1:28 FBV]}

A Pattern In Creation

In the beginning, God created and multiplied. The Lord had set the example by declaring things and speaking life into existence. We also follow this pattern: We speak life based on God’s Word. We confess Bible verses, and we repeat His truths as we agree with Him. We do our part, and God will do what only He can do.

Creation came about into existence with a spoken command: “Let there be light!” We follow that pattern when we pray. Each time we pray should be a repetition of His Word, a speaking out of God’s written promises.

…P R A Y E R…

Father God,

We recognize You as the only Life-Giver and Creator. Please hover over our emptiness, and speak the Words that will spark life in our womb. Please give us a baby to take care of.

Thank You, Lord, for You are the Author of fertility and conception. You have already commanded us to have a baby, so we will conceive, just because You fulfill Your gracious promises.

The Curse of the Thief

I n the middle of audit week, our company accountants decided not to show up. As it turned out, they embezzled some money. What struck me the most was that the people who did it were not strangers; they were like mothers and aunts. We saw them almost every day, smile at them, laugh with them, and made plans together. As part of the management team, we ate out and had a friendly good time. It was heartbreaking to realize that the people in the news for some criminal activity had the same profile as those that I had warm and cuddly relations with. But loyalty goes up. My love for God supersedes any other relationship. I feel sad, yes, but I have no inkling to cover for them. If anything, I am upset because I was this close to them, and yet, clueless. My colleagues and I were mixed emotions. On one hand, we felt betrayed. The suspects were like family. We confided in them and planned activities with them in all sincerity and warmth. But maybe, just maybe, they were truthful and sincere...

As for me

Bishopric and Episkopé: The Ministry of Visitation

The KJV word is bishoprick , which is now archaic in spelling. Most Bible translators didn’t use the modern spelling ‘ bishopric,’ and that, for a good reason. #Acts1v20 For it is written in the book of Psalms: “Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell in it.”, and, “His bishopric, let another take.” A quick google search shows that bishopric means: the office or rank of a bishop. · a district under a bishop's control; a diocese. But looking closely at the Greek word, episkopé, reveals a deeper meaning: a visiting, an overseeing [Strong's]. Here's the kicker: bishopric k is not a desk job; it's fieldwork. An excellent, Spirit-filled bishop or pastor performs the act of visitation. How does one effectively "oversee" a flock? By being with them, by being among them. The Ministry

Is Received, Not Assumed. Death and Destruction

God is working in me

for me to desire and perform His will, which is my destiny, for His glory. Philippians 2:13 For it is God who is working in you, enabling you both to desire and to work out His good purpose. (HCSB) It is God who produces in you the desires and actions that please him. (GW) God is working in you to make you willing and able to obey him. (CEV) for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. (NIV) because God is working in you to help you want to do and be able to do what pleases him. Encouragement In Death

Grant me this VS Prepare me for this

James and John wanted prominent positions by grant. Although they claim that they were able to work for it, this was still not His to give. Jesus replied to them, "but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared." (Mark 10:40 NIV) It was not a matter of being granted it, but of being prepared for it. Those positions were already prepared for someone else, and James and John were already too late - by a lifetime. God has prepared those places for the ones he has chosen.
