My Theme Songs

#bible God's Principles are the Theme of my songs.   Psalms 119:54 Your decrees are the theme of my song wherever I lodge.   [NIV] Your principles have been the music of my life throughout the years of my pilgrimage.   [NLT] I set your instructions to music and sing them as I walk this pilgrim way .  [MSG] Image courtesy of Lightstock . The Feeling Is Mutual

An unjust person is disgusting to righteous people. A decent person is disgusting to wicked people. (Proverbs 29:27 GW) I guard my heart; I will not let my guard down. I will remain vigilant. I will continue to despise wickedness. I will not turn soft; I choose to be hard on sin. I will not tolerate evil. I am disgusted by it. _=w=_   I help those wallowing in their mud of sin - to love them with the heart of the Savior by showing them gently a better way to live. But all through the process, I hate the sin. May it never cross my mind that it's okay, that it's only a little bit of sin and it's okay. No, it's not okay. Sin is never okay. Sin is like a yeast. A little touch of it affects the whole dough. It's the little foxes that ruin the vineyard. A little sinful mistake can outweigh all the good and the great that God has established in my life. _=w=_ The good I do is disgusting to the wicked. I will never fit in with them. God has already called me to wal...

Sheep or Shepherd's Clothing?

#Mtt7.15 False prophets come dressed up like sheep. They identify with the common people, the masses. Face-to-face deception is easy when it's coming from "one of us." The gullible believes that the on-disguised false prophet sympathizes and empathizes with them, and the doctrine presented is somewhat appealing to their level. False prophets don't come in shepherd's clothing, but in sheep's clothing.   It'll be easy to spot a spiritual leader from afar, but who would suspect a regular fellow church member right from the start? And because they are false, they plant seeds of doubt and question, making you confused and agitated. False prophets are hungry, ravenous, voracious, vicious and ferocious. In the process they attack the naive. They prey on the unwary. Take heed of the Chief Shepherd's warning: Watch out! Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.   (Ma...

God Opens the Womb and Helps in Giving Birth

#Isa66.9 My Father, in His loving graciousness, opens my wife's womb for her to conceive and have a baby. Then, the Lord helps my wife to give birth to a healthy baby. He protects my wife and our newborn child. My God helps us all the way, from start to finish, from conception to birthing. Hallelujah! Isaiah 66:9 Do I open the womb     and not deliver the baby? Do I, the One who delivers babies,     shut the womb?   (Message) Will I open the womb and not deliver?    I have made this place labor in terrible pain, But do you think I won’t help it give birth?    That is what I, the Eternal One have to say. So...What? Get to Know the English of the Bible

And so I was reading through my Bible  one day when I came across this verse: So let me remind you of the Eternal’s enduring love, and why we should praise Him.     Let me tell you again how the Eternal gives and gives and gives. All God’s wonders and goodness are done for Israel’s benefit     according to His great mercy and compassion.  (Isaiah 63:7, Voice ) Then I remembered my email from Dictionary.com : Subsequently, the word “so” just got so interesting. Here's a summary (for my quick reference): How is 'so' being used? 1. as a filled pause, much in the way that “well,” “um,” and “like” are used in conversation 2. To begin with ‘so,’…is to signal that one’s coming words are chosen for their relevance to the listener.” Speaker 1: So, how do you know Myra? Speaker 2: College. Speaker 1: So, I met Myra rock climbing at Yosemite…  In this example, the sentence-initial so is being used in tw...

Being Part of the Body means

#1Co14.12 I am needed, and I need to stay attached - no matter what happens. For the body does not consist of one member but of many.   (1 Corinthians 12:14) Image from " Each Part Is Important ." -Olive Tree blog I belong, and I have some tasks to do. My tasks are specific. Just as the parts of the body have a special purpose, so do I. These tasks are only accomplished when I remain a part of the Body.

Recover From Failure

#Lke22.32  My Intercessor in heaven is praying for me!  I am never alone in my darkest moment. My Father is not surprised by the challenges that wears and wearies me down.  He prepares me to overcome such in advance.  But if I fail, the Lord has already prepared to save me. I will not fail forever.  I may fail, but I will consciously hold on to Faith. I will not give in or give out. I will recover.  And I'll even do more than just barely survive. I will rise up again and be a source of strength to others.  My recovery will be a witness that if I can do it, so can they.  What seems to be my greatest weakness can also be my greatest strength.   And it's all because I've been prayed for!    But I have prayed for you. I have prayed that your faith will hold firm and that you will recover from your failure and become a source of strength for your brothers here. (Luke 22:32, Voice )  ...

If only: A Prayer of Isaiah for Deity-deniers and God-haters

#Isa64 If only You would rip open the heavens     and come down to earth— Its heights and depths would quake the moment You appear, Like kindling when it just begins to catch fire, or like water that’s about to boil.     If only You would come like that so that all who deny or hate You Would know who You are and be terrified of Your grandeur. (Isaiah 64:1-2, Voice ) I wish it were that easy, but my Lord takes His time. He is King, and He is not hurried. A day of reckoning will come, and by then, God will have to speak for Himself. There is no stopping Him. But until then, I am His emissary. I tell people the Good News that they don't have to be in the danger side when God unleashes His righteous judgment. His beautiful holiness will not be denied. Never. Oh that the nations would come under His saving grace! How the Father longs to hold His children close like a mother hen would tuck hers under her wings. The Eternal Lover won't be...

Named and Called for Glory

#Isa49.1-3 God says:  “You are My servant, { insert name here } . Through you, I will be glorified."  Let it be known that God is at work in my life. The Lord didn't take notice of me just recently. He already knew even before I was born. He thought of me, and conceived of me in eternity past. He gave me a name, and He caused me to come into being in my mother's womb.   He then called me for a purpose. Since then, He was preparing me to deliver His message that can not be silenced nor ignored. But until then, He will keep me hidden. He will keep on polishing me and making me ready until the appointed time. And without a shadow of a doubt, without a hint of denial, He will confirm my destiny by telling me upfront. I am God's servant. Through me, God will be glorified. Through me, God will shine. The Creator's beauty will be on display, through His grace upon my life. "May it be unto me, just as You have said." So be it! (Isaiah 49...

Wake Up Call

In His gentle and loving graciousness, the Lord wakes me up to do His will. He rouses my senses to have my full attention. It is not my ability to hear, but God’s ability to speak – that when He speaks, I am bound to hear, and I choose to listen. In all consciousness, He makes me fully aware that He is strengthening me so as to strengthen others. He inspires me to inspire others. Then, they receive strength from God Himself – just between God and them. But it all begins with God; He wakes me up. Then I make a conscious decision to be willing to listen and obey. Morning after morning, every day, He stirs me up to a waking moment. God starts it, and then He enables me to continue it. And I end the day, I rest and fall asleep. But my God who never sleeps waits for me. Then He wakes me up again to another day to fulfill the Lord’s desires. He makes it easy for me to know and implement His will. What a sweet deal! Isaiah 50:4-5 The Master, GOD, has given me ...
