Grant me this VS Prepare me for this

James and John wanted prominent positions by grant. Although they claim that they were able to work for it, this was still not His to give. Jesus replied to them, "but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared." (Mark 10:40 NIV) It was not a matter of being granted it, but of being prepared for it. Those positions were already prepared for someone else, and James and John were already too late - by a lifetime. God has prepared those places for the ones he has chosen. (NLT) Furthermore, this kind of thing is NOT ASKED, but GIVEN. The Lord reserves the right and prerogative to do so. It's His choice. But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared. (KJV) Prayer: Prepare me, oh Lord. Help me progress to that level of being chosen, so I can also be a part of Your choices. And also stop me, Lord, from requesting stuff I'm...

My Baby Promise: God Remembers Our Plight for a Child

Then God remembered Rachel; he listened to her and enabled her to con ceive. (Genesis 30:22 NIV) Dear Lord, Please remember my wife and I, listen to us, and enable us to have a baby. Make it possible for my wife to conceive. Remember us, and fix our bodies as needed. Listen to us, oh Lord, and give us a baby. See our plight and answer our prayer for a child.  Take note of us, pay attention to our petition, and open my wife's womb. Oh gracious Father, please render us fruitful.  And in time, just as Rachel, so would my wife be:  We will have a baby!

My Baby Promise: The Power of Prayer

"Isaac prayed to the Lord on behalf of his wife, because she was childless. The Lord answered his prayer, and his wife Rebekah became pregnant." (Genesis 25:21 NIV)   Just like that! I will pray to the Lord on behalf of my wife, and the Lord will answer my prayer, and my wife will become pregnant. As easy as 1-2-3. Just. like. that.  Thank you, Lord, that you will give me the grace to pray every waking moment for my wife, so that we'll have a baby. Give us a baby, dear Lord.  You heard Isaac's prayer, and You will also hear mine.  I will have a baby! (Image courtesy of Pixabay)
